Circus Animals is about two siblings who survive rejection from the world by… joining the circus?!

Much time has passed since a catastrophic event destroyed society the world over, wiping out most of the population. Among the ruins, where pockets of civilization have taken root, mutant animals capable of speech and reason are met with hostility by the gun-crazy mutant-hating humans living there.

Verm spends a majority of his time scrounging for food and resources, his rat identity kept secret from the humans by his standard issue hazmat suit. His efforts support his adoptive little sister Bee, a mouse-bee hybrid who yearns to escape her life of scrounging for rotting food scraps. One fateful day, against better judgment, the siblings risk it all for a warm cheese danish for her birthday.

After a whirlwind of life-threatening events, Verm and Bee flee the city alongside Bunny the bunny. Led on by Bunny’s promise of food at his family’s camp, the two siblings embark towards a future they had never imagined. By applying a fresh coat of face paint, they will learn a whole new meaning to putting on an act to survive.
